Trust Levels Explained

Trust levels are Quiet Camping's way of recognizing members who have proven they protect the network. They are **earned through contribution** — approved site submissions, approved reviews and condition updates, resolved reports, and bringing in referred members who get approved.

Every qualifying action raises your trust score. As your score grows, your trust level rises — from **Standard** to **Trusted**, and ultimately **Highly Trusted**.

Your trust score goes up automatically whenever:

- A **site submission** of yours is approved.

- A **review or condition update** of yours is approved.

- A **report** you filed is resolved.

- A **referred member** you invited is approved.

There is nothing to apply for and nothing to buy — trust is a record of your contributions, updated automatically.

Trusted members receive a **shield badge** and an enhanced, fully detailed presentation for protected community sites — the same complete experience (photos, road & access notes, amenities, site facts, reviews, and reports) with a warm amber identity that signals these spots are community-protected.

This is about *visibility*, not exclusivity: every member contributes to the network, and trust simply determines how deep the window into protected sites goes.

The exact thresholds for each trust level are intentionally not published. They evolve as the community grows, and keeping them internal prevents gaming — members contribute because it's the right thing to do, not to chase a specific number. If you're contributing quality work, your trust level will reflect it.
