What's New on Quiet Camping

The **My sites** feature gives every member a private library. Save spots you've found, keep your own notes and photos, and organize them into **folders** — all before (or without) submitting anything to the community. Nothing in your library is public until you choose to submit it.

From the Dashboard or the Sites page, switch to **My sites** to see your saved spots, add folders, and manage your collection. Your private sites appear as **blue pins** on the map.

Already track your spots in a GPS app or have a GPX/KML file of your favourite routes and waypoints? You can **import them straight into My sites** — no manual re-entry:

- On the Dashboard, open **My sites** and click **Import GPX/KML**.

- Select a **.gpx**, **.kml** or **.xml** file (most GPS apps and mapping tools export one of these).

- Your waypoints become private site entries with coordinates and names — ready to organize into folders, review, and submit when you choose.

It's the fastest way to bring years of scouting into the network while keeping everything private until you decide to share it.

Organize your private library into **folders**, then share a folder (or individual sites) with trusted people via a read-only link. Only **members** can view what you share — a link never exposes your sites to the public. Every share can be revoked at any time or given an expiry date.

When you share by email, include your **referral link** so your friends can join Quiet Camping through you. Sites shared with you appear as **orange pins** in your map.

Members earn a **trust level** through quality contributions — approved site submissions, approved reviews and condition updates, resolved reports, and referrals. Trusted members get an enhanced, fully detailed presentation for protected sites, with a shield badge. Your trust level shows on your Dashboard. See the dedicated guide for details.

Sites now carry an **annual unlock cap** (default 10 per year) so no single spot gets overexposed in one season. Admin approval includes automatic **near-duplicate checks** and **Park4Night / iOverlander** cross-referencing, with findings recorded in the review notes.

The **Dashboard** is your home base: your trust level, badges, credits, referral link, shared-with-me section, and My-sites management all live there. The **Sites** page toggles between the community list and your private library, with an embedded map. The dedicated **Map** shows community pins plus your blue and orange private layers.
